July 2019 is #CleanMovieMonth85!

Hello, movie lovers!

Last year,  I participated in #CleanMovieMonth which was hosted by Pure Entertainment Preservation Society (PEPS), and ran all July. PEPS has decided to do it again this year, and are calling it:

Why? Because it has been 85 years since the Code was first in place. How cool is that?
It is very easy to join if you want to, all you have to do is watch only Code films during July! A "Code" film means that it was made between July 1934 and 1954.

Now, I'm going to break that a little because there is a movie coming out that my sister and I have been waiting for and can't wait to see in the theater, and there are a few movie reviews that I have planned for July and I need to watch those. But other than that, I'm going to try to make it so that all of the movies I watch in July are Code films!

I have a page that is 1001 Movies that You Have to See Before You Die. Right now I've watched about 71. My main goal for July is to watch as many Code films that are on there as I can!

PEPS is also hosting The Favorite Code Film Blogathon that will run from the 5th-7th and they would love it if you would talk about your favorite!

  1. Wow, that is such a neat idea! I watch so few movies though ... so I don't think I'll participate ;D I did just watch Captain Marvel though. And my thoughts? Where's all the hype ... I love robotic characters, but Carol was a stone. And annoying stone at that. And they kept telling her to control her emotions??? What emotions??? lol. I hated the way she smiled and the way she walked and everything about her ;p And the plot was mediocre. And the cat? Like I'm sooo confused. People love the movie for that cat but it was hardly in there. And it doesn't even make sense ... where did it come from and why did it do that to Nick Fury? Yeah, I left that movie feeling confused and annoyed ;p

    1. Isn't it? I usually watch a lot of movies, but I didn't really in June so maybe this will help me get back into it. ;)
Oh! I'd been wondering about Captain Marvel so I loved reading your thoughts! When I saw the trailer I thought that it might be interesting, but she was so annoying in Endgame that I didn't know what to think. :p And what was the deal with the cat? XD Now, if it was a dog I might get it because dogs are the best. I might watch it someday because I know a lot of people who loved it, but I have a feeling that my thoughts will be the same as yours. ;p

My computer won't let me leave comments, so it might take a few days, but I will reply!
