Hello!
I haven't had a game since June 2017. Wow, yikes. Well, it's about time! Last Saturday I watched a famous musical that I had never seen before and have been singing the songs ever since. Because of that, I decided to have a song game!
Here is how it works:
I will have a line with blanks in it. You need to fill in the blanks, name the song and tell me what movie musical it is from!
5 points per correct word, song title and movie.
10 bonus points if you guess which one I just saw for the first time.
I will post the answers next week.
Post your answers in the comments, for now the comments will be on moderation so nothing is spoiled for the other players.
Use your memory! I know you can do it.
Enjoy!

"If you want a happy ending, that depends, of course, where you stop your story." -Orson Welles
I thought I'd get at least one but couldn't answer a single one. Oh well! I'll look forward to seeing what musicals these come from!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I picked some pretty obscure ones. Thanks for trying Korin! :D
DeleteOh, dear. I thought I'd be good at this, but it appears our taste in musicals are quite different.
ReplyDeleteEven so, I do know a couple!
8. "Too long we've been rusting, needing so much more than dusting, needing exercise, a chance to use our skills." from "Be Our Guest" (Beauty & the Beast)
9. "Ha-ha-ha! Ho-ho-ho! And a couple of tra-la-las! That's how we laugh the day away in the merry old land of Oz!" from "Merry Old Land of Oz" (The Wizard of Oz)
One or two of the others sound vaguely familiar...but idk.
Fun game, though! I love TWoO. I have known those songs since I was 3, so you can't trip me up with that one at least! Hahaha ;)
Right after I posted this I thought of a ton of classic musicals and realized that those were probably easier to guess. XD Oh well.
DeleteThat's awesome! I don't know all the lyrics of TWoO songs, but I have been watching it for as long as I can remember.
Thank you so much for guessing, Elanor!
I could only make out a couple but I hope I got them right!
ReplyDelete3. Look Down from Les Miserables
“Look down, look down, you’ll always be a slave. Look down, look down, you’re standing in your grave.”
8. Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast
“Too long we’ve been rusting, needing so much more than dusting. Needing exercise, a chance to use our skills!”
9. In the Merry Old Land of Oz from the Wizard of Oz
“Ha-ha-ha! Ho-ho-ho! And a couple of tra-la-las! That’s how we laugh the day away in the merry old land of Oz!”
And I think that’s it! (If one of them are from Sound of Music or Phantom of the Opera, I’m done 0_0)
XD This was fun! Thanks for posting this, MC! Can’t wait to find out the results!!!
I didn't even think of The Sound of Music until you commented! My sisters should be ashamed of me, we've watched that so many times I've lost count.
DeleteThanks! I'm so glad that you guessed and had fun!
Oh, dear! Here I was thinking I'd be able to do pretty well on this and I only know a few! Eesh.
ReplyDelete4) Blanks: [Moses], [Moses], [erroneously] // Song Title: "Moses Supposes"? I don't know. XD // Movie: Singin' in the Rain

10) Blanks: [River] [City], [Pool] // Song Title: "Ya Got Trouble" // Movie: The Music Man
