1. What's your favourite Period Drama movie?
My favorite? How m I going to decide that! Um, I'll go with, Sense and Sensibility (1995), Pride and Prejudice (1995), Cinderella (2015). I know I'm probably missing one.
2. What's your favourite Period Drama series?
Robin Hood BBC, well, the first two seasons. But I'm just finally starting Downton Abbey so we will see how much I like that!

3. Which Period Drama do you dislike the most?
I don't dislike any! Okay, Robin Hood BBC season 3.
4. Anne of Green Gables or Little Dorrit?
Anne of Green Gables!
5. Your favourite Period Drama dresses?

Downton Abbey, though I've only seen two episodes.

A Celebration of Classic Hollywood Movie Review: An American in Paris

Hello again!

Once again I am here to show you a review for Rose at An Old Fashioned Girl's Celebration of Classic Hollywood. I know, I'm sorry I'm doing this on the last day. I got busy. Anyway:

An American in Paris:

This is a 1951 musical, about an artist, Jerry Mulligan, who served in in the army for WWII in Paris, France, and now is living in Paris and is an artist for a living, well sort of, he doesn't like to sell them because he won't see them again. One day, Milo Roberts, a wealthy daughter of a suntan lotion salesman, takes an interest in him and wants to sponsor him. They go out to dinner and Jerry meets Lisa, and falls in love with her, but someone else is. There is a 17 minute ballet session preformed by The American in Paris Ballet, which can be a little much the first time you watch it, but the second time it is great! So it's a tale of mixed love in the "City of Love" Paris.
Genre: Musical, Romance.

Costumes: 6, there are a few skimpy costumes in the number, "I'll Build A Stairway to Paradise" but besides that, they are mostly good. My favorite is this one:

Script: 6, there are a few references to things, but it is okay. "Back in America, they said I have no talent, they might be saying the same thing here, but it sounds better in French."

A Celebration of Classic Hollywood Movie Review: National Velvet

Hello, Hello, Hello!!!
I had to put three hellos because I'm so excited! Rose at An Old Fashioned Girl has started her Celebration of Classic Hollywood!!!

And I am going to review, National Velvet today for it!

National Velvet:

12 year old Velvet Brown loves horses. "Night and Day I dream of horses." One day she meets a stranger, Mi Taylor, on the road who is looking for a Mrs. Herbert Brown, who happens to be Velvet's Mother. Just then a horse comes galloping in the fields. Velvet falls in love with him right away. "It skips a beat."
Mi Taylor knows a lot about horses but claims he hates them. "That's when you really hate something, when you know too much about it." The horse jumps the hedge and Velvet stops him before he goes farther. The owner, Farmer Ede says he is a mad Pirate. But Velvet calls him Pie. Mi Taylor starts working for Mr. Brown at the butcher shop. One day he and Velvet are making a delivery when they see Pie again. Their dog Jacob runs after him making Pie jump over a hedge, the equivalent of Beecher's Brook, a jump in the Grand National. Velvet dreams of getting the Pie and having him win the Grand National. It is a wonderful story of living your dreams, using your dreams to help others dreams, and knowing when you have had your dream.

Costumes: 9, I couldn't find any full pictures, but I like this one of Edwina's and Velvet's.

Story line: There is a scene which envolves a bit of drunkness. I'm not sure how close this is to the book, but I'll give it an 7.
Overall Score: 9.

Announcing my very own Blog Party!

Hello!
I am super excited! I am going to host my own blog party! It is for Halloween!
My favorite part about Halloween is dressing up. My sisters and I have had some pretty good costumes.We make our own costumes, only a few years have we had store bought costumes when we got them as gifts. In our house, the rule is, that it can be whatever as long as it is scary or magical. The three of us like to have related costumes, and this year my sisters and I decided that we wanted to all be villains! And since there are both movie (s) and a book that our villain is in, I want to share them with you, and let you join in!

The Rules!
1. It can be anything you want, as long as there is a book or movie (s), it doens't have to be scary or magical, that is just our rule..
2. You can review both the book and movie, or just one or the other.
3. You then have to talk about the charater you are. Adding a photo is opional, but I would love to see it!
4. You can do other people that you know (if they allow) I will be doing myself and my sisters. You can do up to four.
5. Anyone can join!
6. Have fun!

If you were going to be Cinderella, you could read the classic tale, or any kind of retelling, or watch a movie version of it. Review it! Then say your thoughts on that character, compare them to your version, ask what others think of it! (here is where the photo comes in handy)!
