If not, I definitely recommend some with the most touching and wholesome, feel good and rip your heart out kind of stories! Haha so anyways, thank you for writing this, it made my night and makes me want to show both of these movies to all my friends again and have a Walter Mitty double feature😂. The Russians are Coming! is one of the top three funniest movies I have ever seen. I enjoy Jurassic Park enough to own a copy.

I liked Notting Hill okay, but didn't love it. Same for Top Gun, which I have seen at least three times, probably four, because I had college roommates who loved it. I liked Top Gun: Maverick much better.

Even though I love Joseph Cotten and like Orson Welles, and love film noir, I just don't really like The Third Man. I keep trying to.

I want to see The Little Mermaid at some point. And Uncharted. And Wonka.

Hurrah for watching Leverage! Wonderful show. Such a good book.

Wait, did I know you'd never read Percy Jackson before?? *is stunned* Well, I'm glad you loved it. Like. Of COURSE you loved it. You couldn't not. I need to reread those books, or at least the first one. (But getting Annabeth and Annabelle mixed up as names is so valid, lol. My former boss's wife is named Annabelle, and I hesitate EVERY TIME before I ask about her, because part of me wants to call her Annabeth.)

I also forgot you hadn't read Okay for Now before. I gave my little sister Wednesday Wars for her birthday, and we were talking about Okay for Now again, and GAH. WHAT A GOOD BOOK. I am amazed that I may just have watched as many movies as you this past year... o.O (Because you cut your normal consumption in half and I upped mine considerably...but still!) Anyway. I enjoy these posts a lot, and it's great to see you 'round the blogosphere.

I too loved Honor Among Thieves, and GIRL I KNOW the "loving Neal for no good reason and upon FAR too short acquaintance" problem is REAL. (I mean, my favorite is Peter. I love Peter, and my sister loves Neal, and we don't even fight because we both know we're both right. XD My sister does Neal's hat flip thing all the time; this obviously makes her supremely cool.) (But for real, don't you love it when authors/filmmakers make you love and know a character SO MUCH within such a short span of time? Like you gotta love when people are just that good at their jobs.)Sarah Seelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14833954108422068010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3354853575539461524.post-50167694191803205142024-01-19T13:35:40.403-07:002024-01-19T13:35:40.403-07:00My kids love the Keeper of the Lost Cities books, ...My kids love the Keeper of the Lost Cities books, and I love Speak Easy, Speak Love and These War-Torn Hands :-) Good stuff here!Hamlette (Rachel)https://www.blogger.com/profile/11961916847426233995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3354853575539461524.post-91572775955141465352024-01-15T12:05:37.898-07:002024-01-15T12:05:37.898-07:00YOU HADN'T SEEN HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER? XD Long story: There were scenes at the ending that were heartfelt and knowing it was based on a true story it got the tears running. But overall it felt like they were twisting his life or exaggerating his life to make it a "good story" when it already was. And I don't know if that's the case, it just felt like it. I was telling my mom that it seemed like they were trying too hard with the conversion and she said "isn't that the point?". Yeah, but it was missing some connecting subtleties. Ahem. Well done calling me out, Sarah!! I don't know if this would be your thing, but I'd love to hear your thoughts! Or on subtlety on stories in general!

Nothing gets past you, so bravo!
