Hello!
This is a page for me to put movie trailers on movies that I am excited to see and upcoming blogathons. Check these out!
Frankenstein (2025)
Oscar Isaac? Check. GUILLERMO DEL TORO? Double check!
I am so, so, so stoked for this because I love Frankenstein. Which means I should probably watch some versions first (like the Brannagh one) as I've only seen a recording of the stage version with Benedict Cumberbatch and Johnny Lee Miller. That one was really fascinating because of the role switching, but it was missing some of the things I love about the story. Del Toro's trailer looks thrilling so far.
Release date: October 17th, 2025
Now You See Me: Now You Don't (2025)
Are these movies cooky? Yes. Are there flaws, plot holes, and inconsistencies? Yes. Do I have a ton of fun watching them? Yes.
I'm still bitter about just trading the female characters out though. For crying out loud, give me BOTH Henley and Lula and trade out Jack. He's the fan favorite but I don't need to see him. I am excited about the younger cast here especially because of the actors from Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and Barbie, my two favorite movies of 2023!
Release date: November 14th, 2025
Wicked: For Good (2025)
I know a lot of people liked the first part, and even though I haven't seen it I think it's a cool idea. I just haven't recovered from watching the Broadway version. They have the trailer out now, but I haven't seen it yet...
Release date: November 21st, 2025
Zootopia 2 (2025)
I'm not a fan of the excessive sequels, but Zootopia is just so much fun. I love the mystery vibe. As a note, I HATE snakes, so this is probably one I should see because that's what it's about...
Also, is that a new Shakira song?? Because I would LOVE that if it were.
Release date: November 26th, 2025
Wake Up Dead Men (2025)
Knives Out is one of my favorite movies of all time, so I'm stoked that they're making more movies with Blanc. Glass Onion wasn't my favorite, but it was clever. AND THE CAST HERE??? Basically, put Andrew Scott in anything and I'll watch it.
Release date: December 12th, 2025
The Odyssey (2026)
While this isn't an adaptation of Epic the Musical (sad), through that concept album I am well versed in the myth and additionally this cast is FIRE.
Like, Telemachus is my BABY and the fact that he's played by Tom Holland and Athena is Zendaya?? DEATH. I AM DECEASED.
Release date: July 17th, 2026
Enola Holmes 3 (2026)
Wooohoooooo!!!
Release date: TBA
The Lunar Chronicles (2028)
It's going to be animated??? I'm so here for that. I want it animated in the style of Arcane, but that's just me.
Release date: November 3rd, 2028
Robin Hood (2025)
Help, I'm addicted to this legend. It looks like I will equally love and hate things about this, so I'll watch it anyway.
Release date: November, 2025
Geek Girl (season 2)
EEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPP! As of April 30th this is renewed for a second season! And I'm ecstatic!!
Release date: 2026

I am SO EXCITED to see "Murder on the Orient Express"! There are a bunch of great movies coming out this year--"Spider-Man: Homecoming" (only three more days!), "The Last Jedi" (YAY!!!!), "Thor: Raganork" ( I definitely did not spell that right, and I'm not sure if it's exactly coming out this year), "Wonder" and another one that I can't remember. :) Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteYes! "Murder on the Orient Express" is one of my favorite books by Agatha Christie so I'm excited to see how they do, and it is directed by Kenneth Branagh another bonus.
DeleteThey have and are turning out a LOT of superhero movies this year! It will be fun to see which is best. :)
Thank you so much for checking my blog out Allison!
Hi! Just curious, I notice you like some Studio Ghibli, but do you watch any other anime at all? If not, I definitely recommend some with the most touching and wholesome, feel good and rip your heart out kind of stories!
ReplyDeleteHi, Kelly! Studio Ghibli is really the only anime that I've tried so far, but I definitely want to watch more! I recently started watching The Apothecary Diaries and have been loving MaoMao's cynical attitude. I also want to watch One Piece due to how much fun I have with the live-action version. Do you have any to recommend?
