Revenge of the Fifth 2024 // 10 Star Wars Text Posts For Your Enjoyment

Greetings Jedi Knights, Padawans, and Rebels! Happy (late) Star Wars day!

One of the joys of a fandom is when people publicly acknowledge it. And even have a day devoted to it. Being in a department that has a lot of nerds and geeks helps, too.

I missed posting on May the Fourth be with you so my brain decided to get some revenge on me and whip up a post when I should be studying for finals.

BUT IT'S STAR WARS. So how can you not? And it's the Revenge of the Fifth.

How did you guys celebrate? Today some friends and I saw The Phantom Menace in the theatre which was a blast (in several ways, because it's Star Wars). Getting to see Obi-Wan's jokes on the big screen is so worth it.

This post is all inspired by Olivia's post a few years ago, so check hers out first! I didn't know the term for text posts, but it's where tweets or other social media posts or comments are put on top of screenshots from films that are fitting. And they are peak humor for me. So I thought I'd share 10! Some of these I've had stashed for a while but others I just found a few minutes ago. Because I'm doing 10 I wanted an even spread (3 from the OG, 3 from the prequels, 3 from the sequels, and 1 from Rogue One) and for some reason most of the ones I've saved up were from the prequels...

Without any further ado, enjoy!

Sources for these mostly Pinterest.

Which of those is your favorites? Mine is probably the "fight me" one! Maybe in a few years I'll have time to write an actual Star Wars post on the right day (I mean, we HOPE I graduate. It's looking sketchy this semester) but for now, may the Force be with you.

  1. 😂 thank you for this, Chloe! I love text posts but have banned myself from Pinterest, so I greatly enjoy getting to see them in other places. :)

  2. Ahh, so fun!! My favorites are probably Padme, young Ani, and the two Han ones. xD '"I don't care," I say, caringly, as I care deeply' is SUCH a Han Solo vibe, oh my gosh. xD xD

To comment, or not to comment? That is the question. Whatever you decide, I would love to hear from you!! I am always open to suggestions, advice, and any other comments! Even if you don't agree with me, I would love to hear from you as long as you keep the comment respectful and on subject. And, please, no swearing. I love comments on old posts!!
My computer won't let me leave comments, so it might take a few days, but I will reply!
