One of the biggest days for movies in the year was yesterday, the Oscars! Also known as the Academy Awards, this has been going for 92 years honoring and awarding movies for their accomplishments through the last year. My thoughts: Of all of these I've only seen Little Women, but the costumes were really great!

You might have noticed something different about my blog. I have a new header! I really like my old one and you'll be seeing it again, but for February I have this one. My sister made it for me! I love how it shows people hugging. It only has one romantic one (from Emma) and I really like how the rest are hugs between best friends and parental figures.

Now it's your turn! What do you think of the results and of the outfits I posted? Thanks for reading!

  1. I've only seen Little Women as well and thought the costumes were terrific!! I was really disappointed tho that it didn't win any more awards even tho it was nominated for a lot. I thought it was really well done and should have won, honestly.

    1. Oh, yeah! They were beautiful! And I'm with you on that, both Saorise Ronan and Florence Pugh were brilliant and I think they were definitely worthy of both awards. The music was lovely as well, an it would have been really awesome if it had won Best Picture!

    2. To add to that, I actually have seen Toy Story as well, not just Little Women. ;) But yes...I was sure Saoirse Ronan would get it.

    3. I've also seen the short Hair Love. It's hard to keep track of all of them! ;) What did you think of Toy Story 4? It's amazing that she has already had four nominations throughout her career!

  3. Totally agree about Tom Hanks, I saw the movie and he is totally a co-lead. I think they stuck him in that category because there are more scenes of the other guy and his family. Same with Brad Pitt--he's the co-lead. It drives me crazy.

    1. Really? There are more scenes with someone else? Huh. Co-leads deserve as much credit as the people who are credited as a lead because they do a lot more than just being a supporting character. Thanks for checking out my blog!

    1. It's funny, my sister only watches the red carpet and I only watch the ceremony because I want to know all of the stats. XD I'm a nerd, too.

  5. Y'know, since I'm such a movie fan I should really watch the Oscars sometime.
I've seen none of the winners, I don't think. I would like to see JoJo Rabbit and Little Women at some point, though.
I did see some of the nominated movies (Knives Out had a really unique story, though).

    1. It took me awhile to get into it because it is so long! Only the last two years have I watched the whole thing, where before that I just watched parts.
I want to see JoJo Rabbit, too! I really enjoyed Little Women.
Yeah, I saw more nominees than usual. Star Wars, Endgame, and Knives Out, and I really liked all of them! I thought for sure that Knives Out would win Best Original Screenplay.

    2. Same! All three of them were pretty good movies.
Right? It had a very unique twist.

    3. I liked them so much that two are featured in my current header!
It fooled and surprised me more than Gosford Park, a mystery that won that category in 2001!

  6. I also always check to see who one, but I never see more than two or three on the list 😂. This year I've seen Toy Story 4 and the Rise of Skywalker, but I hope to see The Fred Rogers one and Little Women.

    1. Same. 😂 I always think, "Maybe I'll have seen some of the winners!" But I never have. I'm still catching up from the last few years. I want to see Tom Hanks in the Free Rogers one, too!
