Hello Everybody!
I haven't posted anything in a while so I am going to do another game!
How to play:
I will say ten sentences that are the start of a book and you will guess in the comments, or emailing me at queen13movies@gmail.com.
Five points per correct guess.
I think the first sentence of every book is very important. It is what draws you in to read the book, the sentence that will be the deciding factor if you will continue to read it. So I will be doing some of my favorite first sentences.
So, without further delay, we begin!!
1. Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else, these pages must show.
2. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way--in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil in the superlative degree of comparison only.
3. Not long ago in a large university town in California, on a street called Orchard Avenue, a strange old man ran a dusty shabby store.
4. There is no lake at Camp Green Lake.
5. The wind, the rain, my soaked Converse sneakers: I blame it all on my dad.
6. Someone was calling.
7. This story is mainly about me.
8. In a hole in the ground lived a hobbit.
9. Dallas leaned far out the window, his eyes fixed on a bird flying lazily in the distance.
10. It was nearing midnight and the Prime Minister was sitting alone in his office, reading a long memo that was slipping through his brain without leaving the slightest trace of meaning behind.
Thank you for reading! I am afraid I lied. I did the sentences I could find that didn't give away to much. I admit that there are two of three that are obvious, but it is my first game of this kind so oh well. Thanks again!!

Tolkien Blog Party Week - My Thoughts on Bilbo Baggins + a tag!!
Hello!
Guess what?
For one thing, it is the 19th of the month so I have to post, also...
Hamlette at The Edge of the Precipice has started her annual Tolkein blog party!
This is my first year so I'm going to take it easy, but I will be answering her tag and telling my thoughts on Mr. Bilbo Baggins. I will be telling ALL my thoughts so, in advance, SPOILER ALERT! If you have not read The Hobbit.
My Thoughts on Mr. Bilbo Baggins:
"There is more in you of good than you know, child of the kindly West. Some courage and some wisdom, blended in measure." - Thorin.
Baggins and Took "blended in measure" is what creates this character we all love.
Imagine, as you probably have, being asked to go on a quest which you will probably die in, with people who don't really agree with your Baggins side. At first.
"Far over the misty mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old
We must away ere break of day
To find our long forgotten gold..."
Is there some kind of magic there, in that song, that makes him want to go? I was in awe when I read this. It certainly was magic that brought me in to read the rest of it. But when I think back to if I were there, to hear their deep, booming voices, not knowing what I would run into, it is scary. Then, in the morning, you are pushed out the door by a wizard.
Let us go further into the story.
They almost get eaten by trolls. And that is one of the least dangerous things that will happen! Right then, I would have lost it. I would have turned around.
Through-out the story we hear of his longing for his teapot. What if he had gone back to it then? They wouldn't have gotten the treasure. He wouldn't be able to boast of talking to a dragon. Or trick Gollum. This story tells of how he would always be both Baggins and Took. He couldn't just be one or the other. We are all special, but he found out how.
Thank you for reading!! Please tell me your opinion of him!! It will be Mr. Bilbo Baggins birthday on Thursday. Hamlette will have a party, but I might not be able to post then. So, Happy Birthday in advance Mr. Bilbo!!!!
And...Here is Hamlette's tag!
The Tolkien Tag 2016
1. How many books by J.R.R. Tolkien have you read?
I read my first Tolkien book, The Hobbit, Just in July!!
2. Have you seen any movies based on them?
Well, Now that I really sit down and think, I have seen, (The whole thing) of: The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Return of the King. (I know, I'm all messed up.)
3. Are there any scenes/moments that make you cry?
Are there!? The near-ending of The Hobbit, after the battle, I actually cried.
4. Are there any scenes/moments that make you laugh?
Does smiling a SUPER big smile count? If so, I did when the dwarves first arrived, and the chapter, Riddles in the Dark. I know, He was in danger, but I loves riddles, my precious.
5. Have you ever chosen a Middle Earth name for yourself? If so, what is it?
I have seen other people do that, but I really haven't thought of it. I guess I would just be a hobbit. (I have really big feet :D) I looked my name up in Elvish, and it this: Limwen (Leem-when)
6. Who would you want to party with/marry/fight to the death? (pick three characters)
Whoa! I have to answer this question? Okay, once again, I haven't thought about this so I'll make it up.
Party with Elves.
Marry, Uh, no idea.
I am not really sure about the meaning of this question, so I'll answer both. If it is I'll never leave your side! I'll fight with you to the death! Then I would pick Fili and Kili. If it is, I will fight against you! I would fight the Bilbo way! Which for me is be invisible and try to help my friends that way. There, I picked three.
7. When was the last time you visited Middle Earth, via books or movies?
Well, I already said I read The Hobbit in July, and I saw The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies, in January 2015.
8. Do you consider Gollum to be a villain? Why or why not?
Well, with all I've seen and read, I say he is just Hungary and Greedy, which in a way is a villain.
9. How would you sum up what Tolkien's stories mean to you in one word?
Bravery. Okay, that's summing up the characters. Adventure, then.
10. List up to ten of your favorite lines/quotes from the books or movies.
"You've left the burglar behind again!"
"Why on Earth didn't you metion it before?"
"Mutton yesterday, mutton today, and blimey, if it don't look like mutton again tomorrer."
"What's a burrahobbit got to do in my pocket anyway?"
"Don't be precise."
Thank you Hamlette for this tag and the great party!!! Go check it out HERE!!
And I'm so sorry about uneven sizes of text! My computer hates me.

Hello!
I'm here for participating in my third Inkling Explorations! Go check out Heidi's blog HERE!
Anyway,

If I need to, or if anyone wants to hear it, let me know.
I'm here for participating in my third Inkling Explorations! Go check out Heidi's blog HERE!
Anyway,
This month's selection is: A picnic scene in literature or film
My selection is a scene from the movie, Nanny McPhee Returns or also known as Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang.
SPOILER ALERT!! If you have not seen the movie Nanny McPhee Returns or also known as Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang, do not read this! It will give things away.
After a big sale, with money left over, it is time to celebrate.
A game of tag and a nap starts off our fun.
"Oh look Mr. Doherty, how thoughtful, they've put out cushions."
"Uh, No Mrs. Doherty, I regret to inform you that is a cow pat not a cushion."
"Oh. Can't I sit on it anyway? It looks so comfortable."
"Oh, uh..."
"Can you help me down?" SQUISH, "Oh yes, very comfy. You can sit down, there we are,"
"Would you like a bun, Nanny McPhee?" Celia asks.
"I think I better not. Thank you."
"BURP"
"Oh for Heaven's sake get away Mr. Edelweiss, you revolting bird." He flies to her shoulder "Get off. I don't want you there." Nanny McPhee says.
"What has he done that makes you so cross with him?"
"He eats inappropriate substances."
"BURP"
"I'm so sorry."
"Such as?"
"Such as, window putty!"
"BURP"
"Oh!"
"Window Putty?"
"Such as, the window putty in every single one of my window panes, Which all fell out at once."
"UOO-UOO (a Burp)"
"Oh please!"
"That's bad."
"I don't care how much you love it you deplorable creature, it is a nasty habit."
"What are your medals for Nanny McPhee?"
Gives side glance, "burp.", "Courage, kindness, resolve, imagination, enthusiasm, basket work, and leaps of faith."
"Sandwiches!" "Hooray!!"
"In my, (cough cough,) In my capacity as warden, Mrs. Green, might I suggest that you provide the family with protective head gear, in case of bombs dropping all of a sudden. Mrs Doherty and I wear these at home."
"I don't think bombs are going to drop in this part of the country, Mr. Doherty, We're in the middle of nowhere."
"You may be possibly and tragically mistaken. Now picture this, an enemy plane, vroom, mreow! Carrying an enemy bomb, fi fi fiish, an enemy pilot, rurr.."
(laugh)
"With a bad cold, they get them too you know, (blows nose), same as we do. He sneezes once, AAAAAACHOO, nothing occurs, He sneezes a second time, AAAAAAACHOO, and all is well,"
(giggles)
"He sneezes a third time, watch very carefully now, AAAAACHOOO!"
"Oh!"
"He hits the big red button with his big red nose, and, choo!, bombs away!" (High pitched whistling.)
"Oh, kettle's boiled."
"BOOM, AGH!, BOOM, AGH, blast! Big bang."
"Oh dear, what a thought, we just have to hope that non of them catch the cold now don't we Mr. Doherty? Egg and crest or bloast paste?"
"Ham." (Appropriate picnic music, hand clapping laughing headstands, clapping) "Yay!"
"Time for ginger beer!!"

Book Review: Ghosts of Rockville: Search for the Dominion Glass by Justin Heimberg
Hello Everyone!!
I am sorry this post is kind of rushed, but I really wanted to post something and I haven't been able to watch any movies. I have been outside trying to get last bits of sunshine that I can, by I have read this book which I thought was very good! Also, please participate in my Movie Quote Game I know, I have said this in my last few posts, but my next post will be the answers! And, only two people have guessed. But anyway, enjoy this hurried post!!
Ghosts of Rockville: Search for the Dominion Glass,
by Justin Heimberg:
This is the story of four tween ghost hunters, Jay, Pam, Danni, and Brian, in Rockville, a place known for paranormal happenings. Usually it is just an after school thing where other kids ask for there service, until one day, they get a mysterious note, that sends them on a bigger job, The Search for the Dominion Glass. This is just the first in the series, I can't wait to read the others!
The awesome thing with this book is that it has MagicViewtm, a way for you to look for clues with these four ghost hunters, if you keep your eyes open.
Genre: Mystery.
Characters: 9
My Favorite:
Pam,
Danni,
Dr. Grunspan
Words: 8
Storyline: 9, this is kind of a scary book in some parts but VERY good!! It has do deal with ghosts, but I don't believe in ghosts.
Overall Rating: 9!
Thank you so much for reading!!!

Movie Review: Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Hello Everyone!
Sorry I haven't done any thing in a few days! My last post was a big hit and I was trying to savor it. Please guess at my Movie Quote Game Post! I will put the answer out in a few days but only one person has guessed! Anyway, I am doing a review of the movie, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, as you can see from the title.
Ferris Bueller's Day Off:
Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a 1989 comedy. One day a high school senior decides to fake being sick and have a day of fun with his best friend and girl friend in the big city of Chicago, did I mention, In a Ferrari! Everything is going fine until the principal, Edward Rooney gets suspicious that this isn't any sick day and starts to investigate.
Costumes: 6 "What does he looks like, can you describe him to me?" "Leather jacket, white shirt, leopard vest, and extremely handsome."
Script: 3, AGH!!! There are sssssssooooo many bad words in here!! May I ask why?? They don't need to have bad words for emphasis, but they do. So if you watch this in some parts you just need to close you ears. (Told you I would deduct the score for bad words), but as my Mom says, "I would rather have someone say a few swear words than a lot of violence.
Crew: 7, eh, back to the bad words.
Directed by: John Hughes
Produced by:
John Hughes
Tom Jacobson
Written by: John Hughes
Cast:
Matthew Broderick as Ferris Bueller "He's a righteous dude."
Mia Sara as Sloane Peterson
Alan Ruck as Cameron Frye
Jeffer Jones as Edward R. Rooney
Music: 7 Surprising how many times someone hums or sings "Danke Schoën" Also interesting STAR WARS reference.
Music by:
Ira Newborn
Arthur Baker
John Robie
Quotes: 6 "Bueller...Bueller..."
Story: 7 the story is an okay one, it is super hilarious except with the CREEPY guy in the police station, and bad words.
Facts: Ferris was named after director John Hughes' life long friend Bert Bueller.
Overall Score: 6
Quiz: What is the license plate of the Ferrari say? (I know, what is with me and license plates? In movies they are sometimes funny but you only have a few seconds to see them so it is fun to look for, this one is easy because it is seen a lot of times.)
I know this isn't the best movie, but it is really funny.
Thanks for reading!!!!
